That old woman practiced, instead of preaching. Too many people—Christians, Muslims, Buddhists (to a much lesser degree, mind you), even atheists (one could say especially atheists in some cases) preach loudly and forget the message, or what it means, and fail to practice entirely (i.e., NOT KILLING FOLKS and such).

Atheists often spout off reasons why God can't exist or why Jesus never existed, disclaimers to all kinds of divinity and preaching why their way is better. This bugs me a little. A good number of atheists are pessimistic, negative-thinking-types always looking at the glass half empty. Why? Because it's a mindset not necessarily born of, but definitely geared towards anger at spiritual people and how they're all stupid mindless sheep that are zombie members of the Cult of Christ. Like you and the rest of the Church, I agree with the basic ideology, but their implementation and dogma, as it were, is flawed and self-destructive.

We don't agree completely on the fundamental workings of the universe. So what? This is my beef with the atheists: If you only get one shot in this world before the lights go out forever or whathaveyou, why not make it a happy one? Why waste time spewing hate-speech and being an angry little goth kid when you could be meeting people, goofing off, throwing roses, playing video games and having a blast? By their own logic, you'd think the typical atheist would be more inclined to love his fellow man than certain other groups, seeing as he believes that there is no afterlife.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Good work, keep it up.Murex Brandarishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11925765477447584935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-981001871799440036.post-54500778664223311792008-08-20T23:37:00.000-07:002008-08-20T23:37:00.000-07:00i love you. this is the best one yet by far. i'll ...i love you. this is the best one yet by far. i'll call u sometime today (thurs). as you prob no, we're underwater right now. not just a little, like swimming. my scuba diving license is coming in handy right about now. but i love you. let the next one be about music...Hellohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02031049527222896024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-981001871799440036.post-47819792511647975292008-08-18T12:17:00.000-07:002008-08-18T12:17:00.000-07:00Hey, who runs this internet? There are other things that are legal in the U.S. that are considered sins. Such as sleeping with random people casually, there are no laws agains't that even though the bible speaks agains't it. you don't see people protesting outside people's front doors who partake in these activities. Its a little bit ridiculous.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
